It’s time to let you in on some BIG CHANGES that are happening for our little family.
No. I’m not pregnant.
In 7 short weeks, we will no longer be New York City residents.
The weight of that statement is still hitting me, even now.
Though I’ve been dreaming of this for a very long time, I can hardly believe I’m saying it. We are moving to North Carolina!
We are going to have a house! (And a backyard, an upstairs, and a garage!!)
While I’m pretty tickled to be missing the bulk of another inevitably brutal New York City winter, I’m a little panicked about how fast everything is happening! My time in the city feels like sand slipping through my fingers. I’m desperately trying to soak up every moment of goodness I can savor.
The sad news, is that I’m closing this chapter on apartment living and improvements in my first home. These are the final before and after pictures of this apartment. I won’t need to share more ideas for small space decorating or organizational eureka! moments from my personal trials living in 699 square feet.
On the other hand, I will no longer be complaining about having so little space, AND most importantly I will have an entirely new house to share with you!
I’ve been spending pretty much all my free time on Pinterest dreaming about furniture, paint colors, decorating ideas, and the plethora of DIY projects I could work on in my very own garage! (Did I mention I’ll have a place to spray paint and use power tools?!! Oh, the overwhelming joy and possibilities!!)
So, what does this mean for the blog?
I haven’t figured out exactly what I’m going to do about my no longer “in NYC” status, but I’m really excited to share all my latest ideas and inspirations for our next home. I’m sure there will be plenty more misadventures in DIY to share with you as well. It’s bound to happen when I get my hands on some power tools…
I have a few final apartment projects, and some nursery evolution updates to share with you, but then I’ll be turning my attention to the possibilities and project planning for our next home! (I’ve already made a master list and I’m so crazy motivated and excited to get started!!)
Thanks for following along with my crazy life so far! I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you!
Mike and I are a bit too superstitious to share a photo of the new house before we officially close in February, but I thought that a few professional photos from our apartment listing might be a nice way to remember our first home in all its glory.
